The accountants seem really reluctant to use it, and they say it looks like it is made for non-accountants. We've gone as far as reimaging entire machines and still run into the issue again.įor this reason, we purchased a copy of QB Online and set it up parallel to Desktop for the accountants to look at and get the hang of. This results in IT spending an hour or two to fix the issue when we go the manual way (due to QB failing to uninstall as well). Sometimes performing steps in QB Tool Hub will get it going again and sometimes it requires manual uninstallations, removing files, services, etc. Users will open up QB Desktop and see just a splash screen and then the program never opens (crash). This on fully updated Win 10 (2004) endpoints. Recently, we've begun to have more and more trouble with the application side of QB. We throw the DB manager and company file up on a server and install the program on endpoints used by accountants, granting them access to the share where the file is hosted. For years, we've used QB Desktop, the most recent being QB 2018. We have a small department of accountants who handle our books. I am an IT Admin at a medium-sized business with about 18 locations.
